Don´t worry, I´m alive
Despite the fact that nothing has been posted here yet, the trip is going great. I´ve spent the last 10 days or so in London and Barcelona, where I met druids at the summer solstice at Stonehenge, sat in the stands for the opening day of Wimbledon, and ate some of the best (ok…and only…) tapas I´ve ever had.
Funny enough, the busking has been the complete bust so far. The number of cops I´ve been confronted by is actually greater than the total number of euros I´ve made (4 vs. 1.79). But the accordion has come in handy - I jammed with a hippie drum circle at Stonehenge and have been playing a lot. And as far as busking goes, I still have high hopes for Avignon and Paris.
Now, I´m working my way up the Spanish coast to France. I´m writing this from the town of Figueres, where Dali was born and where yesterday - coincidentally? - I saw a 20- foot-tall human pyramid. Tomorrow I´m headed to the beach town of Cadaques.
Of course I can´t wait to share these experiences with you, and luckily it´s all on video. And there´s the catch - due to a few technical issues (which I can´t really talk about here) the videos aren´t online yet. But here´s hoping that within a week or so, you can all join the fun.
Meanwhile huge thanks to Frank, Debbie, James, and Justine for their help so far…
